    RULES OF ADMISSION                           

    to the Ukrainian Humanities Lyceum

    of  Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University

     Requirements: 

    • Pupils completed 8 forms with a report reflecting their good ( 8-12 marks) achievements in all compulsory subjects, having tendency to Humanities, researching and creative work are requested to participate in the competition

     Entrance testing:

    • Psychological test ( when submission papers)

    • Test in disciplines of the educational base components (to assess entrants general competence)

    • Tests in profile disciplines:

    -  mathematics ( written form for the entrance tpo the economic group) the Ukrainian language ( translation) or history of Ukraine ( viva voce) for the entrance to the Humanities group ( at entrants’ option)

     The entrance tests are conducted in 2 stages:

    - May (23- 28), enrolment – June, 02

    - June ( 15-27), enrolment – June, 23

    Prize-winners of the 3rd and the 4th All-Ukrainian contests in profile disciplines (The Ukrainian language, Ukrainian literature and foreign languages), prize-winners of Olympiads held by the UHL of  Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University are out of entrance tests.

     Those accepted  for the lyceum (the 9th form) acquire: the Humanities, two foreign languages, mathematics (economic group); profile and optional courses conducted by the lecturers of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University contribute to the choice of specialization and future career.

    The pupils of the 10th form are offered to choose one of the core specializations (history, philosophy, philology, economics, law )

    The graduates of the Ukrainian Humanities Lyceum having the recommendation of the Pedagogical council have the right to enter corresponding department and institutes of journalism, philology, international relations of the Kyiv National University after attending an interview.

    16.05 – 21.05 First stage

    01.06 – 14.06 Second Stage
